Vanished History Season 1
An investigative factual series unlocking history's most stubborn disappearances — from the Mary Celeste and Flight 19 to Cleopatra's tomb, Tesla's archives, and Alexandria's lost scrolls — reconstructed through CGI and expert analysis.
Vanished History is built around absence: ships that sailed into fog and never returned, tombs that refuse to be found, archives that simply stop existing. Season 1 pairs enigmas episode by episode — the Mary Celeste and the Lost City of Z, Blackbeard's treasure and Genghis Khan's tomb, Flight 19 and Cleopatra's resting place — then asks what the evidence still allows us to see.
Our contribution for Shark Teeth was a purpose-built delivery pipeline: more than forty shots an episode and over four hundred across the run, with average shot lengths of twenty-five to forty-five seconds. Real-time effects sit beside hand-built 3D environments and custom 2D/3D assets so each vanished object or place can be staged, lit, and revised quickly without surrendering a cinematic finish. The method is deliberately pseudo-real — high craft, rapid iteration, budget-honest — with about ten percent of the package remaining pure 2D support work.
Produced for Bell Media and distributed internationally by Cineflix Rights (Foxtel, RTL, Mediaset, Discovery Iberia, Hearst), Season 1 landed on Crave as a ten-episode history-mystery package. The open sets the tone: investigation first, spectacle earned.
